Suburbia is not static - it is a palimpsest of time, where landscapes evolve, disappear, and re-emerge in new forms. "Deep Suburban Memory" reflects on this layered transformation, tracing the history of place from ancient mountains to dense forests, cultivated gardens, and ultimately, the iconic Queenslander home. Yet, even this familiar form is impermanent, as suburbs shift and reshape around us.
This work does not seek to mourn or celebrate these changes but to acknowledge them as a reality. Through vivid, stylised layers, I explore the deep memory embedded in our landscapes - the natural and built environments that have existed, overlapped, and faded, leaving echoes in their wake.
