“Clara’s Garden Refuge” explores the idea of home as something held gently by the landscape. The small house sits within a rich, layered garden.
This work reflects my ongoing fascination with how our homes are shaped by the natural environments around them, and how gardens become living extensions of our identity and memory. The winding path invites the viewer to move slowly, to notice colour, texture, and growth, and to imagine the rhythms of daily life unfolding within this place.
For me, this painting speaks to refuge; as belonging. A quiet, abundant sanctuary where the built and natural worlds exist in harmony, and everyone and every thing flourishes.
